Eager Beaver

Every morning I get to work eager beaver, full of energy, and rearing to go. By our 9 am starting time, I’ve already formulated mental lists of thing to accomplish for the day, charts I need to check up on, and important details I need to go over with my staff.

Meanwhile, my loyal and hardworking staff come trickling into the office, dragging their feet. Their homing devices set on autopilot, directing them to our Nespresso machine. I can see their blank stares as I bombard them with questions and tasks for the day.

As irritating as I know it is, I can’t seem to dial down my morning surge of productivity and enthusiasm. It’s like I am incapable of being calm and chill. This is just my nature. I am all in. And unfortunately for them, I am all in + a morning person.
