Mama Bird

We discovered a hummingbird nest in our yard the other day. There are two eggs nestled in the perfectly crafted home. Today, it started pouring outside and I could see the mama bird sitting on her eggs, sacrificing her own comfort to protect them from the rain.

Isn’t that what we as parents do every day? Protect our kids and shield them any oncoming storms. Prepare them to be strong and independent so they can learn to fly.
