Pomp and Circumstance

The end of the school year is always bittersweet. On the one hand, it's a time to celebrate. Yet on the other hand, this time of year is always tinged with a little bit of sadness. The school year winding down signifies the end of something, that a chapter is closing. 

This week my daughter graduates from junior high school. I am so excited and terrified at the idea of her starting high school. All the unlimited potential, all the new experiences... just within reach. Not quite an adult, yet no longer a child. This precious moment in time is when everything is on the cusp of change. 

I just want to pause time for this magical moment, as one chapter is ending and a beautiful new one is about to begin.
